Gents, after having a few blown tires and no on board spare, decided I needed to do something. I chose the 4200/GS ALTERNATIVE SPACE SAVER FROM A MERCEDES SL R230 route. See link below.

My space saver was sourced from eBay (05 SL500) and my adapter was fabed for me by a company here in the US.
Tried everything out this evening and couldn’t be happier knowing that I know have a spare in the “boot”.
Interesting note, using my extra scissor jack from my 84 Biturbo. Many thanks to mjheathcote over at the UK forum! Now all I need is to source a humped carpet. If anyone is interested in going this route, I have an extra hub adapter with lugs and nuts that I am willing to sell.
