The button on my '03 Coupe says PWR, but when I push it, a light on the dash cluster says SPORT. So what do you think, Skyhook or not? I suppose I could try and track down the original sticker to find out for sure.

That is wierd it should say power on the dash if there is a power button. Power is the sport mode for non skyhook cars. I would guess somewhere down the line the switch pack was replaced with the wrong part. I am guessing you have a skyhook car.

Interesting.

I will say the chassis seems to tighten up when I push this button and the road feel seems keener, but that may be all in my imagination. Anyone know a way to check for sure? Some part of the suspension that is a dead giveaway I can look at?

A "PWR" button comes on non-skyhook cars. To be sure you can see if there is a fixed or adjustable perch ( this applies to 4200 and GS models only ). Further to check you can see if you have electrical wires / connections coming from the very top of the shock itself. i.e. where it pokes through into the hood compartement in the front. However you'll need to perform about 10 -15 minutes of disassembly to check this out.

We do have Sport Springs now for ALL models of the 4200 and GS, Skyhook or Standard.

Hello Everyone:

My 05 GS does not have the Skyhook shocks.

I can see that the car is pre-wire for the for the option.

Does anyone knows if there is another component in addition to the shock absorber, like a computer or so?

Will it be as simple as to buy the optional shocks?

Thanks,

Non skyhook.

The "Sport" indication on the dash advises that your CC shift pattern is in the quicker Sport mode. In a Skyhook car, it also adjusts/stiffens the skyhook computer and dampners. In a non-skyhook cars, the PWR button only engages the quick shift program.

I believe to make the car Skyhook you would need to add the computer as well as the shocks but Jeff can probably confirm.

I believe you are right. We need someone to confirm

The fact is that if the computer is needed then is cheaper to buy a set of after market shocks (moton, kw, etc.) that are adjustable; that way you can get better use both on the street and on the track.

Thanks,
