Need help.
2017 Quattroporte S - 45,000 miles
Maserati Service Cant figure it out. They replaced the wire connecting the battery in the trunk to the ECM unit in the engine.
Does not happen constantly, but happens in spurts. Go a few days without a problem then it will happen two or three times.
Two issues, possibly related:
1. Car stopped but engine running (idling - Auto Start/Stop not kicked in yet); Car shifts itself into Neutral and engine stops; In ACC mode so that we have to push button to restart, shift to drive and then go. **New symptom today Battery Icon came on.
This second issue does not occur at the same time as "1" above
2. Stopped at light; engine turns off because of Auto Start/Stop; foot off brake, onto accelerator and car moves forward, then stutters and sometimes keeps going normally and sometimes engine turns off. Sometimes it will start right away, other times, it will take a few minutes to restart.

Ran error codes and got the following:

ECM_V6_MY17 (Engine Control Module)
P05BD-00 Stop-Start Mode Switch Range/Performance
P0148-00 Fuel Delivery Error
ECM_MY17 (Engine Control Module)
P05BD-00 Stop-Start Mode Switch Range/Performance
P0148-00 Fuel Delivery Error
TCM_MY17 (Transmission Control Module)
U0401-00 Implausible Data Received from Electronic Control Module/PowerTrain control module
ITM Intrusion Transceiver Module
B1A3E-00 Siren/ITM Mismatch

Noticed that there is a drop in the battery voltage while driving of about 1 V from 14.3 to 13.3. Compared this to same car and this is not normal.
My guess is that there is a problem or a short in the starter motor/alternator or the wire that connects the two that is causing the battery to drain. That is just a guess though.

Any ideas or ways to test this would be helpful.
Thanks.

Could there be an issue with the Start Button itself? We saw one fail on a QP GTS that had some very strange side effects.

Best Regards,
