Does anyone know where I can get an extra rim so I can have a real spare as opposed to the spray glue they give you... Thanks cc05 :p

Maserati. I got 4x 19" Trofeo design wheels for CHF 6000.00. Other wheels are too much tuning / ricer...
Somewhat related question - I would be more comfortable having a spare as well but would prefer not to have to lug a full wheel in the trunk (don't even know if a 19" would fit in there).

Is it possible to purchase a conventional "donut" inflatable-type spare? This would just be for bailing one out of emergencies. Would this work? Does anyone know of a source for this?

BTW, surprised to see a reasonable price, that is good to know!
Was surprised too, and for sure you will not see the same wheels on a BMW or MB...
hi guys... maybe i am missing something but a spare for 6000.00 CHF?! That's Swiss Franc, right? what's the exhange rate? i am looking at $4,400 USD... :?: :?: :?:
That's the price here in Lausanne... Maybe I am a good customer / buyer...
6000 chf for a set of four (4).
Yes 2 wheels for the front and 2 for the back  But the price does not include the tires...
duh... i c... the entire time i thought why would anyone spend 4400 USD for just a spare tire. 4X 19" not 4J x 19" (if that even exists). Yeah... 6000CHF is a great deal. Care to share pictures?! I got a set of HRE 843 and it way over that :( too expensive!!!
So any thoughts as to whether a common donut tire would work as a spare?
donugt

no new news on the idea of where to get one or just a normal spare
Spare Wheel

The Kinesis Motorsport K18R wheel would look very good on Maserati. They have a yellow spyder on their site with these wheels at http://www.kinesismotorsport.com/maserati.htm

They quoted me about $5000 a year ago for a set in 18 inch diameter slightly wider than stock. I am still thinking about it especially since I have one scratched wheel.

By the way, I did buy the spare tire kit for my coupe and it was about $1435 at my local dealer. Includes inflator (compressor), wheel, tire (folding compact spare type), lug nuts, etc. Complete kit. You also need a new trunk floor piece that fits up and over the spare which now sticks up into the trunk a bit. The trunk floor piece is about $150.00.

It's a bit of a rediculous price for what you get but what can I say - my choice to drive the Italian thing.

Still loving the car after 41K miles.
