Hi all. I'm taking my 07 QP in for some warranty work. It says in the Roadside Assistance handbook that if warranty repairs take more than 1 day that they will reimburse us up to $50 per day for car rental with a max of 5 days.

Has anyone used this option? My dealer doesn't offer loaners. What is the procedure? Do we just rent the car on our own, get some paperwork from service dealer and submit to Maserati?

Thanks,
Vik

haven't had the need. based on what the dealer told me, they'll rent one for you at a local enterprise if you bought the car from them. don't know anything about maserati roadside rentals. I prefer flatbeds, they'll pick it up and drop it off.

My car doesn't really need roadside assistance. It's just a problem with the air conditioning and the glovebox. The closest dealer is about 45 miles away so I figured it would be easier to just rent a car after I dropped the QP off. Kinda hard to have my wife follow me all the way there to drop off and then drive back up again to pick the car up.

i've probably had more service days than most of the forum combined (was averaging 6 a month for 3 years).

Most times the dealer would send me over to Enterprise and it would be billed direct.

Several times, the paperwork was messed up/wasn't sure if it would be covered under warranty. It ended up being charged to my CC and I had to submit receipts to get reimbursed. Dealer didn't cover the full amount, despite it being the same rate and details

4 times I wasn't reimbursed at all while the car was in for warranty work. Dealer told me to submit receipts to MNA. MNA never responded. Dealer wouldn't help me, bills come to around $2k. I told the dealer they were losing a customer and I have lots of friends who buy cars so if it was worth $2k to piss me off, they'd never have my business again.

I have convinced 3 friends to buy their Maserati at a dealership more than an hour farther away, 2 other friends to go there for service and one friend to buy his Ferrari from a different dealership. Sometimes I just don't understand a companies customer service policies...

2005 Coupe. Proof these cars weren't made to be daily drivers. 67,000 miles when the insurance totaled it. Was averaging 1,000 miles/week (low mileage is due to being in a rental car so often! several extended rental periods while car was in body shop for small dents or misc...up to 3 months one time).
