Anyone replaced the rear springs on a 4200 Spyder ? are they accessible from underneath or do you need to go into the trunk (boot) and disconnect the shocks (skyhook car).

I know the collars need a good soak in penetrating fluid.

I believe that on the 3200s you have to go in from behind the rear seats ?

Any help appreciated prior to saturday and d day !

Many thanks

Solution !

It's EXTREMELY simple !

Half lower the roof and look in the space that the hood goes into. Underneath the two round black circles are four nuts. Undo those and you can remove the whole shock/spring assembley. (undoing at the hub of course)

Springs need to be compressed before unscrewing the collars, but it's not a difficult job at all. Any half competent shop can do it without needing to pay main dealer prices.

Apparently Assetto Corse springs are the same part nr as 3200/4200 standard springs but 10 x the price ! Not confirmed it, but would be interesting to see.
