Hi, I've tried to pull the oil level stick/dipstick out but its pretty firm. Does it unscrew or is it simply friction fit? Should I just pull harder? It just that things are flexing with the force I'm using already.

thanks

Simon

If its anything like my '02 Coupe, it is really pressed in tight. You have to use some muscle to get it out. I actually turn it a bit (back and forth) as I am pulling upward.

It helps to rotate it a coulpe of times then rotate as you are pulling up, there are only rubber o-rings holding it in place. Once you get it out ,apply some lithium grease to the o-rings. AND check the oil level with the engine up to temp and at idle. Hope this helps.

Ok thanks, I found a diagram of the engine and noticed the 2 O rings. Its certainly a tight fit, the pipe was bending as I was trying to pull it up, for this reason I wondered if I was missing something.
