anyone has any experience with other brand of tires (other than the Pirelli P zero) for the Quattroporte? I need to change the rear tires soon and from what I read you can get a better tire for about half the price of the Pirellies.
The question is if any of you tried another brand and was happy with it?
By the way, I don't want to buy the "run flat" tires.

when I bought my QP it needed 2 new rears and planned on putting Bridgestones on. I had run my Porsche 993 with Bridgestones always, and have nothing bad to say about them, especially more recently when the wear ratings improved for the same grip.

However I put on Falkens this time as the Bridgestones were not available straight away thru my local specialist and as I plan on my less aggresive driving with the QP, am trying something also high performance but with lower noise ratings etc.

TireRack is a good place for reviews, and from there make your choice. So far I'm happy with the Falkens (btw 19" rims)

I can give excellent rating for PS-2 which replaced my P-Zero on my Jaguar years ago, less expensive and much better performance especially in rainy days, also with less noise. However, the new P-Zero on my QP seems quite good in comparing to the old ones, also I think there is not much choice for 20" wheels for now.

Do some research online. I replaced my PZero with Goodyears Eagle F1 Assymetrics, they were #1 on all reviews a couple of months ago. Believe me, they are 10X better than the Pirellis, last longer, and the grip is unbelievable, dry or wet. And they are cheaper too.
