A garage mechanic friend of mine who has two clients with Maseratis (a coupe and a QP), thought that on hearing my QP Sport car start up, had a "prolonged crank time" in comparison to the other two cars.

My question then, is on average, how many seconds on cold start should it take a modern Maserati to turn over, given a reasonable ambient temperature, i.e. not in the middle of winter? I don't know what batteries the other cars had, but mine is the standard OEM Fiamm battery.

Mine starts in about 2 seconds (of crank time, not a figure of speech) after resting for a couple of days.
