Hello to all,

I understand that the Pirelli CN 72 tire is being remanufactured in 205 VR 15 size as originally used on the Ghibli, Indy and others of that era. Unlike the 205 / 70 or 215 / 70 size tires which most owners seem to run on their Ghiblis nowadays, they should give the car the original look as seen in the works photographs and would also provide a useful increase in ground clearance. Does anyone on the forum already have those new CN 72 tires in 205 VR 15 on his car and how are they to drive? Price is quite high, in Michelin XWX territory. Those are only available in 70-section though.

Kind regards

Til

Just talked to Lucas Tires today and Pirelli still has not done the production run. It should have been done in Q1, but nothing still.

I have 20+ yr old Avons on a 64 Ferrari 330GT. They are tall tires with a relatively narrow contact patch. Four wheel drifts are not hard and good steering feedback essential. I expect the CN72's will not be much different.

You're right--the car will look much better with the right size shoes!

Regards,
Greg
