Maybe it was just too dark in my garage but I searched every available lid and door jam but could not find a paint code sticker. Where is it located on an '07?

My car came with an "out of range" exterior paint and it doesn't even say the name or code on the original sticker either (just the $2,500 up charge!). I'd love to know what to call the color.

Thanks,
Rick

PS Added a pic...feel free to take guesses.

The paint code is located on the hood itself, underneath on the right side as u open hood towards the bottom, silver sticker. Its is not a code but a name. Looks like grigorio granito. What does "out of range" mean and $2500 up charge.

Thanks...I found it. Practically invisible since the sticker blended in with the paint color in low light.

It's called "Grigio Nuvolari" from PPG.

"Out of range" means that the original owner special ordered the color from the extended color pallette (hence the up-charge).

Yes, Grigio Nuvolari is still within the extended color pallette. One of my favorite from Maserati.

They said it's "out of range" so they car charge more. Typical F/M tactic.

IIRC, if it's truely an "out of range" color (ie a non-Maserati color or custom paint-to-match color) then the upcharge is something like $4500 and up.
