Now that summer is arriving in TX I am getting the Overheat Warning Light - if I leave the Spyder idling for just a few minutes. The radiator fans kick in shortly after. Seems to me like they are cutting in a tad late. Maybe I have a dirty temp sensor? Or is this normal?

Tyazzolino is right. Also there is a resistor on the bottom center of the fan housing between the two fans. It sometimes gets disconnected ans sometimes the connector melts. Either way they need repair. If they appear alright. Measure resistance to make sure it does not have an open.

Unfortunately, I don't have the specs, but I believe that if it is good, it will show low resistance, but if it is bad, it will show: O.L. Out of limits/ open. Also, it comes out real easy with a short #2 Phiilips screwdriver and you can visually inspect it to see if it burned up and melted.
