Hello guys,

I know this should have never happened but it did...
I run out of fuel today. Initially the engine warning light came on and after a bit it was flashing and the engine was playing tricks.

I ve put fuel in the car and the engine makes the normal awsome noise, the only thing is that the engine light is still on. Its not flashing though.

Will switching the battery off fix the engine light or do i need to take the car to the dealer??

Regards,
Marios

out of fuel

Fill up with fuel then reboot your system at the battery switch. If it doesnt work, then disconnect battery for several hours and try again. If that doesnt work, then go to dealer and be very interested in a new Granturismo. Get in your car at then end and ask them to quickly look at your car-helps if you go at lunch time and dirctly to the workshop guys. Or go on a Saturday when the service supervisor is away and ask nicely for atch guy to have a quick look and say it just happened and look confused and stupid.

good luck and let us know!

I know that on many cars, the codes will clear themselves after about 50 miles or so of driving (assuming the event that caused the original code is now passed).

Thanks for all the advice guys. I think Vincenzo was right. The light was on this morning but at lunchtime it just went off so i guess i passed the 50 miles!
Fuel is cheap in Dubai compared to Europe, i just couldnt find a gas station.
