My oil pressure normally would run between 35-70 psi. It now is pretty much pegged at 70 psi. Has anyone had this issue? What was found?

It should be pegged anytime you are moving.

Prior to full warm up, my pressure is always pegged at 70.

When warm, she will drop to 35 when idling but even with the slightest acceleration, will peg.

NOW, I just changed oil to Redline and noticed one change. When under slight load, she will sometimes be between 35 and 70. I attribute this to easier flowing oil and less work needed by the oil pumps. A positive as I can actually see the gauge working now.

Oil Change

Oil change is due, previous one was 5,ooo miles and 6 months ago. I have purhased an oil pressure sender also to give to my local mechanic when we change the oil. We are doing the oil change this coming friday.
