In case anybody was wondering how much a new rear bumper for a QP costs: £9000 (about US$18k) with parts, labour and UK taxes.

There was zero damage to the bootlid or any of the metal exterior in this small bumper-bender I had with a woman in a Toyota Corolla (she came from behind).

It took the undersupplier body workshop of Maranello (Ambassador Coachwork) about a month to book in the repair and over a month to do the work.

She was insured and I paid nothing, but somebody sure as hell got ripped off. I requested the list of OEM parts, which is impressive. The bill was about hlaf of labour. How many hours would you need to spend to make it £4500? Say a "reasonable" £50 per hour, that would be 90 hours, i.e. over two full working weeks.
