Hello All,

I've been a car guy my whole life. Into Detroit muscle, mostly chevelles. Have a 66 convertible triple black complete restomod. Owned corvettes as well. Thought I would change up a bit and own my first Italian sports car. In the process of buying a 2011 GTS convertible. 52k miles... ALL service work completed and followed per manufactures recommendations at a qualified service center. Buying from original owner who has kept the car impeccable.

Would appreciate any feedback on issues or concerns with that model year.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome aboard and good luck with the purchase... As to the car, we're not 100% sure if it is a 2011 GranTurismo S or a 2011 Quatroporte Sport GTS but either way, they're both good models and fairly reliable. We suggest checking the control arm bushings as they do wear out a bit early for some and can cost a bit to replace. Other than that just a full Pre-Purchase Inspection from a qualified shop with the right tools to connect and diagnose any problems. Other than that, you should be in pretty good shape.

Hope that helps!

I apologize as I am learning.. its a GranTurismo. I am kinda taking a leap of faith as I am purchasing without an inspection. I do have all service records as the car was only serviced at the dealer. I am trying to be as cautious as possible but I'm 1200 away and flying in to drive it home. Road trip/mini vacation along the way. Texas to Florida with a stop in New Orleans. The last service included all fluids, filters, wipers and replacement of the transmission seal and fluid. Just under $4k total. Tires are less than 500 miles. Service updates preformed as well.

Do you think a pre-purchase inspection is a must?

valve cover gaskets leaking onto cats.
Greetings Broth!
Can you expand on the effect of "oil leaking onto the cats" please?
My ride's got mad oil leaking from both valve covers. So, Of course, Ama bout to change them.
But the original problem is that the whole left bank is misfiring with lower compression and we still dont know why just one bank will fail like that man
With my warmest regards,
Winston
