maybe it's both... el cheapo version of the limited edition
i have no idea about what you mean in your comment.

the 90th anniversary model has Cosmetics of the GS but mechanicals of the Spyder. (i think the transmission setting is GS).

the GSS is with the mechanics now.

just very poor timing and product planning. I see some 90th models unsold, and fall is coming already, as with the 2006 models and GSS.

i know :D the differences between the two are the wheel base, chasis length, oh engine twicks and etc... what i meant was a morph, a breed of the cheaper parts of the two. now that maserati has plans to introduce lower price models. i thought they could start with the GS spyder. darn...my spyder will depreciate even more... :(

(I haven't gotten official information about this car, so I am going by pictures, but...)

The spyder and coupe have different wheelbase's.

The 90th anniv spyder has most of the bodywork from the GS, but with special tags, serial numbers, etc. The 90th also has the special carbon fiber convertible cover that doesnt look like its on this GS spyder. The 90th is also missing the lip spoiler on the trunk lid.

The interior of the 90th anniv is essentially GS, in specific colors.

The 90th anniv car does not have the GS specific tuning - for engine, transmission, or suspension.
