Heard bad things about the automatic ZF transmission ?! From whom ? Everything I‘ve read on this forum points to that transmission being about as bulletproof as it gets .
( the F1 transmission, a much more limited option in out cars , is known to cause some issues , but not the auto one )

The ZF is not an automated manual transmission. The F1 is and this is the transmission he's concerned about...and rightly so.
