Is this a 2010 GT S with aftermarket splitters? There can't be too many spec'd with that airbag and also have an upgraded head unit. If so, without implying anything untoward, I'd want to know why the owner is selling after only 6 months. At the very least a specialist inspection should be your starting point rather than stereos & steering wheels.

Agreed I'll be requesting full MOT and service history, and looking at getting an inspection on any vehicle before I buy, given some of the problems with GT's, I'm not interested in getting bitten in the arse from a dodgy dealer, and having to pay out just to get the car to a decent standard. But base I'm looking for is 4.7 S automatic as I've heard bad things about the automated manual gearbox's, though I'm sure you guys could give me more insight into that.
Yes, I could have worded my response better. I was trying to draw your attention to this car (possibly) being sold or traded-in so soon after it was discussed elsewhere. Being a natural cynic made me slightly suspicious and now more so if the car is for sale at a non-specialist dealer. Given, as you rightly say, some of the known problems with a GT. Front subframes for example. Which part of the Country is the car advertised? That said, if it all checks out, cosmetics are fixable.

For a better understanding of all gearbox variants, and most things Maserati, you should consider giving Richard Grace a call. Maserati, Ferrari and Porsche sales specialist in Chester, Cheshire
