I had to replace my battery in my Lotus. My AAA roadside service offers a battery service where they will send a truck with a tester and battery for your car. When the driver pulled up he was not sure if he had the right battery so he checked his Battery guide, both of us were not expecting my Lotus to be listed, but low and behold it was.........They even had a listing for a Maybach, and all of the Maserati models. They stock the battery for the Maserati and it is rated at 800cca, when their booklet says the OEM specs call for 680cca.

Best of all the cost for the 2002-2005 Spyders/Coupes is $105, which includes installation, test of your alternator, a service where they come to your home or work, a 3 year replacement warranty, then 3-6 year pro-rata replacement.

My independent dealer installed a new battery when I purchased - he sent it out and they charged him $235.The installed an Interstate with only 640 CCA.

I'm wondering what the consequences of a lower than spec CCA could be ? Just issue of longevity ?
