Have loved the look of Maseratis since about 20 years ago when I saw one regularly that that lived near me. Looking back I think it was a Shamal or similar.
Have drooled over them since as they evolved, but never really thought of them as being attainable. Just one of those things you drool over.

Fast forward to now, business has been good and although I don’t really NEED a car (wife and I both ride motorbikes), I started thinking about an old sports car (insert mid-life crisis joke here).
Looked at Porsches, reality is in Australia they’re either crazy expensive or old and tired and not that nice to sit in, at least in my price range.

So then I remember that old Maserati and start doing my research. 3200/4200/gransport is in my price range. Do my research and the GS is the one to get!
So I start watching the cars advertised online, see which ones are selling and which ones aren’t, and after several months start looking at them in the flesh and driving them.
Pretty soon figure out the things to look for and where the price should be.
My preferred colour is black, but the ones I looked at were all, shall we say, well-worn and driven hard. Younger rev-head owners. You get the picture.

In the end settled on a grey one, very low kms in pretty good condition. Interior is all black leather and is in excellent shape. Couple of things to sort out but nothing that a few bucks won’t solve.
Settled on a price and picked it up two weeks ago!

Just got it back from a good tune up and new stereo, and went for long drive yesterday.
Man does it go!

TL;DR version: I bought a GS, I love it.
