Personally for me the GTS is not an option if it doesn't come with a boost in hp. The optical mods don't really do it for me, the upgrade in brakes is nice, but, again personally for me, not necessary. I am quite content with my 05 DS, which provides exciting yet extremely reliable transportation. The QP is, by a wide margin, the most exciting sedan I have ever had the pleasure owning!
If you don't need to have four doors, or the comfort of a long wheelbase transport for long haul drives, stick with what you have. Only my 2c.

From what I have been told, the DS is a dying dinosaur for the QP.

Don't expect to see it any more.

I certainly wouldn't hope so. It seems though that the majority of QP buyers these days are the ones who want the Auto tranny as opposed to the DS, especially here in the US. I wouldn't trade my DS for an Auto at this point, as I am having too much fun with it. I think once you accept it's functionality as a motorized manual and stop comparing it to an regular auto (with torque converter) you start having real fun with it. But again, I think the majority of QP customers these days don't want to shift manually and for the auto function the ZF tranny in the Automatica does certainly a better job than the DS. I really don't hope that the DS is a "dying dinorsaur" though.
