I have a maserati grancabrio. The front parking sensor regularly beeps and I have changed the 1 sensor. However, the diagnostic tool shows some sensor ranges set to infinity. The diagnosic tool doesnt allow me to set the range.

Any suggestions?

hi there
The diagnostic tool shows certain sensor set on infinity....and others have a set range to 1.5 meters or 2 meters.

Essentially it beeps even if im 5 meters from an object. And also beeps if theres a bump on the road. So its very sensitive.

My only thoughts are that as the diagnostic tool shows the 1 sensor is on infinite...that one would need to set a range or something....or adjust sensitivity somehow...

Not sure

Indeed, that is an interesting thing. The technical manual shows that the distance “can be set via software” but doesn’t say what software or how.

You might need to get into Maserati diagnostic software to sort this one out (or some like crazy high level aftermarket scanner).

However, I’d start with disconnecting the battery for a while, reconnecting it and turning on the key (but NOT starting the engine). Wait 30+ seconds, then start the engine. This procedure ensures all of the systems can run through initialization checks.

next, I’d relent and find some software that can do a proxy re-alignment.

Failing that, you will probably need DS1
thank you will give that a go.

I should mention though, the battery did go flat a few times when I forgot the trickle charger so I think its gone through initialization checjs ...however the sensor has gotten a tad better but mostly the same. I was even with Maserati for its service and they tried to adjust but made it worse.

The software sounds promising, but where to get with a calibration tool...not as easy
