Purchased a new 04 Maserati Spyder Cambiocorsa convertible in Jan. 04...a great car. However, there is an annoying buzz heard on AM radio, {not on FM}. It is heard only when stopped and with my foot on the brake. The buzz disappears when I take my foot off of the brake, and the hillholder has dropped out. The dealer has replaced the hillholder motor assembly... but no help. Any ideas?

First feedback I got was this:

"interference with something switched on by the brake light switch?"

Maybe.
Worth checking the switch and everything from there on, including the brake lights themselves.

Another one:

A lot of US Maserati owners complain about all elements of Radio reception, especially AM - they use a slightly different tuning pattern and frequency range in the states so perhaps it is a "poor" conversion by the Maserati Head unit. Certainly the UK unit in my car gives great FM and AM reception.

More.

"How about checking the routing of the aerial cable, maybe it is running close to something that interferes with reception, maybe a relay or sensor or something similar?"

There are so many possible causes that you really need a radio specialist, with more knowledge than could reasonably be expected of a dealer.
