Given they are roughly the same price, which would you prefer?
Springs:
Not really liking the idea of increased tire wear, unless I can get the camber in front back to 1.5 where it is now. Plus my rears are wearing even currently, and would hate it if lowering, I may not be able to get it dialed in again...Any thoughts and experiences welcomed.

DBW:
This is a tough one for me, as it seems to shift and drive just fine to me. Whenever I need power, it downshifts quickly and seems to always be in the correct gear for the situation. Any thoughts and experiences welcomed.

Springs...Fix that shitty rear fender wall gap...They really don't do much on the front and you can generally get it pretty close on the front specs...Jason
Thanks Jason. I feel you on that gap and value your opinion. I've lowered all my cars and raised all my trucks! But this is not a truck, (even though it sits so damn high) so down it goes!

Looks much better and balanced out nice. Probably could do without the fronts. The MC's stock rear wheel gap really is obnoxious large. Springs/spacers were the first mods I did to my MC right after I got it. No regrets even though camber is a bit out of spec.

My car came from PO with lowered springs and the FD DBW module. But mine is the F1 which the module is supposed to really improve. Not sure the module would be worth it on an auto trans car. I also don't know how it drove without either mod since that's the way I got it.

I will say on a former Cayenne I had, the throttle lag was horrible. I added a pretty cheap Sprint Booster to that one, big improvement. If all you're looking for is improved throttle response might give them a try. No affiliation and no idea how they work on these cars, but it worked great on a turbo Cayenne....

Thanks! Yeah, I think I'll drive it this way for a little while and see how it goes. Sits the way I like it now, and the fronts may give it the "raked" look witch I don't really care for on this car (some '60s muscle cars look ok raked). Going to get it aligned Saturday...I'd like to see -1.5 camber at the most, and toe-in at 1/8"- 1/4" each side for decent tire wear.

Thanks. Yeah I'm on the fence with the DBWM, on an auto too...I'd have to drive one first to compare before plunking down $1200...

As far as your turbo Cayenne, I think there is way more to gain on turbo cars verses normally aspirated cars with these "Sprint boosters" and other ECU type mods. I wonder if any members here have know anyone who has tried this Sprint Booster on their Maserati's. I'd be willing, but the return policy does not work for me...

The Sprint booster, at least back when I put it on the Cayenne, only dealt with the throttle lag. It was pretty bad, like almost caused accidents bad. Didn't really improve performance, just better throttle response.

I don't know if the new sprint boosters do more than that or not. So for example, on the Cayenne to increase performance I also did a tune for the ECU. That changed engine parameters, like A/F mixture, timing, boost levels....etc so did increase performance.

Thanks for your input. I have no lag, as least none I can perceive. I wonder now if the $1200 box from FD does the same thing as the Sprint Booster does.... Again, so many questions, so little answers with these cars...

Thanks!
I used Formula Dynamics, and no, I have not done the fronts, (I like the way it sits now) but will sell them if anyone's interested...

I have upgraded a LOT on my Mazz but I just don't prefer the look of the lowered springs.....I prefer the stock look. I have 295 with 22mm spacers on rear and will go with 305 next time....but I like the raised rear personally

Well it defiantly serves a pourpous being that high. I would not feel comfortable putting two adults back there now...way too harsh and not enough wheel travel. You usually sacrifice one thing for another when you modify something...I sacrificed the look over function  My 305's will be in on Friday...I went with the Nitto 555 G2 because their directional...I need to be able to flip them when the inner tread starts to wear...👍

You def have to pick either form or function when you go low....outside of spending a small fortune on adjustable coil overs or some type of hydraulic/air set up. I have my alignment so dialed in (over 25k miles on tires, no inner wear) that I don't dare touch it. I bet it looks 'sweet' though, GT/MC 4ME. (y)

Amen brother...Mine was perfect too before the lowering...I'll get a shot of the rears before I put the new ones on. They're not that bad (inner wear wise). I like it :) View attachment 140267

Just curious how was the install of the rears? Did they need to remove the whole coilover, replace the springs, then reinstall? How was access to the rears, did installer need to remove all panels in the trunk to access the tops of the coilovers?

All the shocks are coil overs and require complete removal and a spring compressor..I'm pretty sure Vance told you this via a text message yesterday...I received a text about it at home yesterday..Jason

If installing FD products , the instructions are so easy to follow and very detailed
I did my change-out across 2 days in the garage - springs & sway bar package
