Dear Membership,

Has anybody yet discovered a cost-effective way of lowering and stiffening our non-skyhook equipped cars? The only option I have discovered is via purchasing "coil-over" kits, one of which is available for about $2,500.00 uninistalled. I've posted this inquiry before with little feedback. I concede I know little about suspension componentry, but I recall reading that with the skyhook-equipped cars, the cars can be lowered via screwing down (on the shock I'm guessing) which actually takes tension away from the spring softening the ride. Assuming that is true, it would seem that a shorter shock with a longer and stiffer spring might work in the non-Skyhook equipped cars. Any comments would be welcome.
