Hi folks

Mike here, based in Sydney Australia.
Have started looking around for a Gransport.
A lot of my research (googling) leads me back to this forum so seems like the place to be!

There are a few for sale here on the usual website, although slim pickings. Ideally am looking for black on black, but open to others if nothing comes along. (one just popped up in Argento Luna which is interesting)
Budget sub-$50k. If you know of any coming up, let me know!

Cheers for now, Mike.

Hello Mike, and welcome. Most of us on ML are in the US and Canada, but we have members from all over too. The folks over at Sportsmaserati are a great bunch, and may be of more help in finding you a RHD car. Give them a shout if you haven't already. Ed

Ah thanks for that, will duck over there now.

I have seen a few posts from Aussies on here so I'll stick around in any case!

Catman is one of our moderators here, and a prolific poster over there. He may be able to point you in the right direction for finding the right car. I want to say I've seen a list of cars imported to Oz over on SM but I can't remember where I saw it. By all means hang around here too. Ed

So have test driven a few this week, some good, some great.
And one... what do you guys make of this.
At very low speed, I.e. pulling out of the driveway in 1st, sport mode, 1-1.5k RPM. It’s very “jerky”. I get that the clutch needs to slip at this speed just as you would in a manual. But it was like a teenager trying to learn to drive manual(stick). The clutch was engaging/disengaging and the car was lurching then backing off as a result.
thoughts?

Thanks, we appreciate it and feel the upgrades we offer make a world of difference on the Maserati.

As to your question, it could be many issues honestly. However, we really wouldn't recommend anyone take on the problem of purchasing an F-1 car that is not driving correctly. Having the history of whats been done to the car (exactly), how it failed (exactly) really helps a shop to know how to fix them and at least you have a reference point of when the car was working last to go from and have some idea of what the issue may be. Let the current owner have those problems sorted out and buy it in good working condition or simply pass on to the next car. Never assume it's an easy fix, we've seen some customers well underestimate the difficulty of a repair without knowing all the facts.

Hope that helps

Yep had a good look at the Argento car.
It really was in great condition but I just couldn’t love the purple teknicloth interior.

Ended up closing the deal on a grey one with black interior, only 34,000kms!

Couple of things to tidy up but nothing too serious.
Is in being serviced and then new stereo, so don’t even have any pics yet!

Will post up next week when I get it back.
