Trying to get a group buy together. We need a min of 30 to get the price of $450 plus shipping. I figure $500 max compared to Amazon $800.

I'd probably be interested, but would more info on model/specs/equipment. What's the comparison on Amazon?

Great Sportinlife, now we have 3, 27 more to go. How about you RJ237 and Geflackt?

That would be a good use for part of my $1200 gift from the govt. We should get that in a few weeks.

Great guys, we are up to 10 for the group buy. I hope the word will spread to get more member in the group buy. I think we can get our $500 back if we use it twice because each trip to the dealership is at least $200. I hope that enough of us have it so we can help other members near by who doesn't have one.

If this comes to fruition, we are going to need some pretty in depth instruction on how to use them, otherwise they're going to be paperweights... or worse.

I totally agreed. The tablet does have an electronic Maintenance Help section which contain 4 sub sections. They are Quick Start, Operation Skills, Product Manual, and Q&A. I've only skim through the Quick Start and the 56 pages Product Manual (User Manual). They both appear to be pretty detail with pics.

I have an older(years!) X431 version with the Bluetooth interface and it runs on an old phone, so it's time to upgrade. It was a little tricky getting setup but the instructions cover it. Once licensed and setup, it's relatively straightforward to do what you need. It's really no more complicated than using other in-depth units. I have a dealer-level diag unit for my Land Rovers which runs on a laptop. They both compare in complexity. You do have to know what you need to get done - such as making a specific setting, running a specific task, or determining specific readings.
@mdtran - is there a site that lists vehicle compatibility and module revisions? It would be interesting to see what versions they're up to now, especially since I would like to use this on other cars.

I'm pretty sure there is but not sure where to look. You can go into each car manufacture and it will show what version software it's running. Below are 83 car manufacture with the most current software version. I just took some screen shots after they were updated.

Its really simple. I'd be happy to show you how to do what you need. I've used mine several times to bleed the system and calibrate the clutch as I've slowly replaced and fixed transmission parts.
