They are late because they had to start the design process over after the California was hijacked by Ferrari. It originally was supposed to have been a Maserati.

Boxer's right. I did think the Spyder was going to be online in 2009 though.

I believe they are holding off so as not to launch into a bad economy. General feeling in Europe is that things will start to improve in late 2009 so a 2010 launch makes more sense.

At least now the cars are fantastic and as reliable as any German car, to say the least. If we have to wait a little longer for the GT-C, it will be that much better when it arrives.

Agree, Maserati has gotten much better but part of it is beacuse BMW and Mercedes have gone south fast. The worse car I have owned this century was a BMW M5.
