MAKE SURE YOU READ THIS WHOLE POST...Seriously.

Hey guys,

This is actually a pretty important post, so make sure you read all of it... I
think you're going to be very happy :]

So, I was talking to Andrew and we came to the conclusion that because I
am a known marketing and advertising name around many big companies, I
have a bit of lee-way when it comes to talking to the presidents, and other
high ups.

We also realized that I can leverage this power for the good of the forum!

Here is the deal, how many of you guys would be interested in a
"Newsletter-ish" thing where we can:

1) Get a bunch of HUGE discounts (I'm talking hundreds of dollars off) on various
maserati related things... using the power of "group buys" that I negotiate.

-OEM parts, exhaust systems, air filters, spark plugs, tires, radar detectors,
and so on

It will work because we only need a few people out of the two thousand to
buy... We can easily get over one hundred to get it all at once, for a fraction
of the price

2) Keep up to date about the stuff going on with our cars.

- For example, informing everyone about "important threads" (like the F1
pump thread, or the service costs thread, etc)

3) Get other Maserati related info...

-Keep up to date on things that can save you money, etc.

Now then, as a marketer, I am telling you that as a collective group of two
thousand people, we have a LOT of leverage against companies... especially
when coupled with my ability to make them see the light, and the fact that
they know I know what I am talking about...

Examples of the discounts I had gotten (with groups of less than 6 willing to
buy... normally just with ME willing to buy!)

-BMC air filter for ~$80 (shipping included) instead of ~$100+ (shipping
included)... This was JUST me buying.

-Got 48 plugs (six buyers) for $10 each with free shipping instead of $12 each
plus shipping for each set of 8.

- Talked down OEM style manufacturer from ~$520 for a part, down to $375.
Again, just ME buying!

How many of you guys are interested in this? I just want to get a head
count. Remember that me and Andrew are working together on this so we can
get as many people in on it at once!

Thanks guys!
Ali

This is a good idea, but it will only work if you *the maserati owner collective* are ready to actually purchase. We've used Group Buys on the forum a bit and they've saved owners some cash, the problem is that the timing of it all is very difficult. Some people are ready to purchase, others are not. I'm happy to offer some discounts if you're able to get group buys together and we have access to a lot of Maserati Parts. What needs to happen as well is for people to be willing to get involved and go aftermarket.

Members really need to check out the Magnuson-Moss Warranty - Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act (http://pt-tuning.com/policies/Magn-Moss-Act.html) to further understand their rights in regards to modifying their Maserati's. As it stands it's the single largest barrier to selling aftermarket parts ( that is the fear of losing your warranty ). In fact it's not that easy for a manufacturer or dealer to do this. This market has opened up a bit now as many Maserati owners are now at or approaching the end of their factory warranty anyway.

I have a whole line of performance products that will work on the Maserati, if we get enough people involved I can introduce a new product every month or so and offer a substantial discount. It's all about participation. As someone said earlier, "Sounds like nothing to lose" which is true but there will not be a gain either unless people are serious and ready to spend.

Jeff,

I have faith in MaseratiLife and I know that it will work.

Truth is, we don't NEED all two thousand to be "willing to buy".... We just need to have a small group to get a substansial discount. 6 people saved us about 25 dollars... And that was just out of the people I contacted who live in CA.

What Jeff said is true, just because you have an aftermarket part does NOT mean your warrenty gets voided.. The dealer will have to jump through a LOT of hoops and prove a lot of things to get that to happen... And normally it gets denied :]

Now then, glad to see such an interest :] ill get on this ASAP!!!

To saving a hell of a lot of money,
Ali

As I said, this is a good idea and I have faith in MasertiLife too. The point I'm trying to make is that it requires participation from members. So if you're interestested, be active, let your voice be heard, get involved and especially let us know what you're interested in, what to focus on.

I can point you in the direction of some reputable installers. Are products are not anymore difficult to get installed than any other car. Although the Maserati is very special, it's still a car and shocks, chips, brakes, exhaust, etc... can be done at any reputable peformance shop in your area. If they have questions, we're here by phone and can guide them through. So don't be afraid from that perspective.

So long as you're able to pay the supplier (a non-issue these days) and cover the shipping costs... ;)
