Hi everyone - Just picked up a 2007 QP Sport GT after moving my 2004 MB SL500 and WOW - this car is unbelievable. A couple little nagging things but nothing I've never dealt with before owning Lotus, BMW, Porsche, etc...

Question I have and I cant seem to find an answer in the books or when searching the forum is this:

The passenger side mirror tilts down when in reverse. Great feature when parking in the city but in the 'Burbs I use that mirror to see behind me when backing up. Is there a way to turn off this function? I just replaced a bad mirror switch (made by Land Rover go figure) and thought that this would give me an option to defeat this feature but I was wrong in my assumption. Any help appreciated and thanks in advance!

1. Start car
2. Sit in seat and put car in reverse, wait for mirror to go to its currently programmed position.
3. Adjust mirror where you want it to be (while staying in reverse).
4. Press and hold the button on the driver's seat associated with the number you want to program the settings to.
5. Wait for a beep.
6. You are done.

Programming it for the forward position is the same process only don't have it in reverse when you do it!

Yes!!!

YES!!

Never thought I'd need to program my setting twice - forward and reverse! On all my other cars with the parking feature you simply disable by placing the mirror switch into the neutral position. HA!

Thanks a ton - this was bugging me for several days now...

Ha! I've been living with the same issue!
Do you have a part number or link to the mirror switch by chance?
