I just got my 06 Coupe GT a couple of weeks ago. During some moderately aggressive freeway driving last night I noticed the needle on the oil pressure gauge was past 70 (all the way to the right). The red light on the gauge was not lit. After exiting the freeway and slowing down the pressure dropped. When I got in the car this morning, the pressure was up over 70 while warming up.

Is this normal? Can someone explain what is going on?

Fixer - no need to worry. Normal for the Coupes & Spyders. Go ahead and search the forum to find similar reports and to be comfortable that all's OK.

Cool. That what I wanted to hear. I search and check out the other posts. I have been around for about 6 months and did not remember anyone posting anthing like this.

In the UK our Oil pressure gauges are marked up 1 - 5.

My needle is always at the 5 when driving and moves down a little when stationary and the car has warmed up.
