help w/ 2004 cambiocorsa

I just purchased a 2004 with 20,000 miles with service records. Mint car now in the shop having a Clutch and F1 pump put in. The Clutch was shot and the F1 pump is me being pro-active. Cost $6000 dollars. Now before you say Wow! My friends Porsche (2000 996 ) needed a complete motor due to a crack in the engine .Cost over 15,000 dollars!! This is a guy that never saw over 5000 rpms or 60 mph. I think the Maserati is as good or bad as any other high end car. I tell you as much as I love the sound of that motor, I miss the Z0-6 Corvette that I sold to get this car. That car ran 12.5 at 116 mph stock at Englishtown raceway and still pulled amost 20 miles per gallon on the way back to Greenwich CT and never needed a thing from the time I purchased it till I sold it at 33k miles... But it also never caused friends and family to ask for a ride or drive 50 miles from long Island to see it. And it sure didn't make me smile like this one does at 6000 rpms. If you never had a Maserati the price for repairs may be hight But the joy of ownership is higher.

I would most certainly get a PPI on any Maserati. Many bought the car as a daily driver stepping out of a mercedes, bmw etc. They also thrashed them in the processs, including the clutch through ignorance and because many were leased which leads to a less than desirable interest in care and maintenance. The cheaper priced cars are cheap for a reason.

I had the 30k service completed at about $2800.
Regular service is usually $350.00
Tires tend to go fairly quick for me.. 1k+ for a new set and balance.
Clutch will last you anywhere from 8k to 20k depending on how you drive it.
clutch is about 3.5k to replace. Other have replaced F1 pump $700 i think.
shifter knob tends to loosen over time which requires removal of plate.
Check the rear of the car. Any damage to the paint, no matter how small will
require the entire back end to be painted: roof and everything behind the doors.
Cost is Approx 15k-17k. What you want to look for is the guy who did get rearended then touched up the chipped paint rather than properly repairing.
Condition of the Grill... Chrome version is 1.4K
Parts for this car are expensive. I had a small tab changed on the windshield wiper and its cost $40.00. Check the interior finish carefully to make sure everything is secure and aligned. Check seats, movement, air conditioning and dash etc.
