Recent issue. I get hot air from the vents no matter what setting I have the temp at. Even with the temp control set to coolest setting, the vents blow heated air (not ambient outside temp air). I have tried it with the recirc button and econ button on and off with the same result. This is not the same as when I have needed an A/C recharge, at least then the air was the outside temp (this occurred on a cool 60 degree day). Any thoughts?

Do you still have the OEM climate control?

I had this symptom when the interior temperature sensor was disconnected.
Any fault codes on the dashboard readout?

I'd first try the factory reset procedure (here's what I found)
With the ignition off, turn the left hand rotary knob to full cold, the middle and right hand rotary knobs to Auto, press the recirc and econ buttons together and whilst still pressed, turn the ignition on. Keep them pressed until the green lights start flashing then release. When the lights stop flashing the reset is complete.

Unless you recently did any work that involved removing the dashboard, in which case maybe that sensor didn't get plugged back in.

The sensor is right next to the ignition key, just looks like a circular plastic cap with slats in it to allow airflow. The sensor assembly itself is a tiny fan and thermocouple housed in a short plastic cylinder that extends backward from the dashboard opening. You can access it (poorly) for inspection using a scope camera going in through the left center vent. (remove the vent, push the camera through the gap), or up from the floorboard if you want to get sporty.
