Attn: Fellow Maserati Owners,

Group buy on our Performance ECU Upgrade Chip for 2002-2006 Maserati Coupe, Spyder and GranSport Models. This should also be compatible for QP customers however we have limited testing on the QP Model. Anyone QP customer who brings the car to Vegas will get free installation so that we may gain more experience with this car.

Pricing will be determined by the total # of chips that are purchased through this Maserati Life Group Buy by 9/2/2007

Top reasons you would purchase our ECU Upgrade Chip include:

* Improved Power and Torque. Average gains are +20 to +30 bhp gain, +12 to +32 ft lbs torque gain.

* Smoother Acceleration and faster response. We Flatten out your power delivery to create a crisp even respone

Basically it's all about Power and Drivability. If you'd like your Maserati to wake up, when you push the pedal down, this does the trick. Summer is here, let's have fun with our cars.

Technical Support will be available for installation and detailed installation notes will be provided.

Of course it's best if you have the chip installed by a seasoned local professional. Garage Mechanics can perform this install however it does require electrical knowledge and tools.

Feel Free to call or email with any questions!

Three Questions:

1) Does it mess with the warranty?

2) How much torque does is supply to the low end of the rpm range?

3) How easy is it to install, or does it take some work?

Thanks,
Rusty :)

is this similar to Eurotek? can you substantiate the claim on HP and torque gain?

can you add about $200.00 more investment in r&d and show some before and after dyno runs of a coupe.

Thanks,

I second the dyno information. There are people on this board (myself included) who won't but a chip without at least one dyno result to back it up. You'd have to be developing this chip on a dyno anyway, right?

I would also suggest a combo deal with your springs that includes a greater savings.

Our chip can be removed completely, we make no changes to your stock ECU, this should help if a warranty claim is needed for whatever reason.

Please see the attached dyno run to see the improvements in terms of torque.

Installation takes a few hours, we suggest someone with a background in electronics perform the work.

Put me down for one. I really like the fact this is a piggy-back deal and doesn't mess with the stock ecu (especially since my car is new and has a full warranty). I tuned my hotrodded Harley Davidson in this manner (with great results) and so far 10k trouble free miles. SB

First time I have seen a chip tuner post results. On what car was this done please?

Do you have anything for the 360 Ferrari's? That has to be an ECU flash on both.

These #'s were from this car ( http://www.formuladynamics.com/products/05gransport/2005_maserati_gransport.php ) which is currently for sale :)

They are dynojet rear wheel #'s, 93 octane, the car had a BMC Filter installed. We estimate a 17% drivetrain loss between the crank and rear wheels for a total 421 hp / 370 ft/lbs of torque. Note: your car may achieve higher or lower results, this is why tuners don't like to show dyno gains. We've decided to open it up and show you what we have done for better or worse.

Some customers have had better results with a good aftermarket muffler. We have not yet tested without cats but will be working on a project with that very soon.

I won't promise that it's going to blow you away with #'s like some of the other tuners have claimed. I've investigated those to see if it's possible to achieve some of the #'s they've reported. When I pushed the point they said that gain was only possible with a load of other goodies including euro headers, not as a result of just their tune. It does improve your throttle response, power, torque and runs much smoother to redline. Not magic but a good solid upgrade. We can also work with you when you make changes in the future to adapt the program to achieve better results ( i.e. after a port / polish, throttle body upgrade )

For the price, I don't think there is a better upgrade for the Maserati to date. It's also easy to bypass or completely remove if desired. It can also be resold later unlike other options. The new owner may want us to program another tune into the chip for their setup but that would still be far less than a new chip.

We have not tuned a 360 however if the car is brought to Las Vegas, we can certainly provide a custom tune for the same price.

The drive is too long and you can't do that to a garage queen can you? Would be nice if you could do it to a 360 locally and then make it available. There are two ECU's in the 360 and both have to be flashed.

Can you find someone there upon whom you can experiment?

We'll definitely keep an eye out for someone at the track or locally. Two of our customers were owners locally but they both traded in for the 430's. In Vegas, many of these guys just have to have the newest toys available!

This I understand but for sure there are 360's in Vegas. Check with http://www.ferrarispot.com and the Vegas section there. I am certain there are guys who would opt for that.

I know that on 360's the biggest gains come from fuel optimization for 91 octane that we have here in Calif. I don't care about raising the red line. I would like a bit better bottom end performance from the fuel optimization.

I'll mention this to a few I may know in that area.
