not sure about his actual involvement in the QP or GT's designs, certainly he oversaw Ken Okuyama's design of the QP and as well Jason Castriota's design of the GT.

chances are, with his history and ties at pininfarina, it will make ferrari's and maserati's tie with pinin closer. he would know the value of using an external design. he will probably just mess with the FIAT and alfa romeo products himself. perhaps there will be even less work with other design groups such as giugiaro...

He's probably in more of a project manager \ coordinator between Fiat and Pinin Farina. The value of having an insider in that role is hard to overstate.
