One of the major failings is the lack of light thrown out by the dipped beam. Can anybody confirm what type of bulb is fitted (H1 or H7), would prefer an answer from somebody who has actually taken the bulb out.

Has anybody fitted an aftermarket HID kit?

You could have said its an H1, but found it through your user name.
