Hey,

This is my first post. I have been reading this forum for some time now. I am in the process of finding a low millage coupe/spyder. I just got back from the dealership and had a thought. Would the gransport front bumper fit on a regular coupe? Could i order one from the dealership and have it installed? the same goes for the side skirts and rear bumper? I intend on doing some track modifications to the car but looks wise, i think the gs looks 10x better. thanks in advance

Hi there, the answer is yes they do because i have done exactly that on my 03 4200 cc coupe looks nice to my liking anyway, ive also got gransport xennon headlights and a gransport steering wheel, next year gonna look to get the wheels and gransport mufflers i like the idea of only having the growl when you want it but will have to work out a way of operating the butterfly valves

I have an '06 Spyder to which I'd like to add options that weren't purchased when the car was ordered originally. Did you order your upgrades directly from the dealer or, is there another source online available? I was thinking of adding the rear carbon lip spoiler (if it will work) and a number of other trim items.

We have a set of GS Mufflers off an almost new car. The vacuum / valve, etc can be included in the sale for the right price. Shoot us a fair offer if anyone's interested.

As to the body kit the answer is Yes. We had a customer who needed a manual trans but wanted the GS. It was completely converted over ( interior, body, etc ) . However it was not an inexpensive project.

Just wondering... how much WAS the conversion?
I believe it ended up at around $18K in parts alone through Maserati, I remember the steering wheel, seats and interior was incredibly expensive. He did resell all of his original parts, so it cut down the cost a bit. Very nice once it was completed. Can you imagine a GS with a manual, very cool.

Headlights ex £800.00 Ex eurospares
Front bumper complete £400.00 "
side skirts £300.00 "
Rear bumper £350.00 "
Steering wheel £400.00 Ex David Askew

All the bits straight off a mint ex flood damaged 06 gransport

Now looking for a bargain on the wheels , and rear mufflers and boot lip but in no rush looks good as it is .

i can imagine that it would be very cool, but how do you fit the shifter on the GS console where the sport button is??

do you have pictures of it?

I am very pleased to hear that this is realistic. Does anyone know the prices from Maserati or another source for these body parts? The front bumber, side skirts, and rear. Thanks!

Not too sure what or where to price your bits as im in the uk, specialised italian could help you there in the west side of the states, otherwise you could try www.eurospares.co.uk

You can price all the bits up from their site , cheaper than the dealers here, but check states side first, worth a call to eurospares they often get in flood damaged cars to break and we had a lot of floods this year so worth the call,

both bumpers and side skirts complete cost me £1800.00 sterling or approx$3600

Hope this helps

Just called maserati of SF. They quoted me about ~$14k. Bumpers were like $3800 w/o paint. If you wanted to update the wheels, there were BBS wheels $1300's a pop. I was told that I'll need new bolts for wheels at $44/bolt (x 20 = $800's for bolt) Kinda $$ if yo asked me.

Perchance, is that the red GS which Eurospares has been breaking..? Friend of mine sourced the 4 wheels from it; 1 or 2 were lightly scuffed but otherwise in great condition IMHO.

Good Q... and then, if done, where did the sport + other buttons in the center console got placed..? Including the blue start button..!

Keen to know, sounds like a cool project.

Then, for +15K or so why not buy a GS and forget the hassle..? Maybe need to dig a bit deeper into your pocket to make the jump, but hey... you get the real thing..!

Hi troesma, i first bought my masser at a salvage yard on a whim , went to buy another mazda rx8 for my gal coz she liked mine so much, its chipped and stuff
good fun car, anyway bidding went crazy and we lost it ,so there i was with a whole wodge of cash in me pocket and this sad looking masser the next lot, i could swear it was calling me to take a look at her , so over i stroll and the italian mistress just reached out and grabbed me , next i knew was the auctioneer was waving at me asking for my bid number i,d bought a masser for £6200.00 , i gulped a bit and what the ....... duly handed over my wodge.
Then then fun started , went home got all excited got staright on the net and searched for parts , having already arranged the delivery in four days time . Scarce or what , or pay an arm and a leg at the stealers , joined the uk forum and a whole host of info came forth, soon parts were being sourced a lil at a time , then in the october found eurospares two massers coming in a 4200 same as mine with a front ender ( not many bits left ) and a red Gransport ex flood damage had all i ever needed ( was a god after all ) bought all my bits wings bonnet bumpers side skirts steering wheel and headlights didnt originally intend to put GS bits on but made sense .
Anyway before this the car arrived at 6.30 in the morning on the back of 7 space car transporter it was right on the very top and i was his first drop ,

Dick head of a driver forgot to strap the bonnet back down when it was loaded and it had flipped on the motor way and smashed the screen and bonnet, i was gutted, upshot was the salvage company reimbursed me £2350.00 so the car owed me at this stage around £4000.00 so now with buying all the bits and the complete respray owes me around £12500.00
Looks litterally brand new only done 19000 miles still has warranty payed for by the previous owner and has all the extras so i feel quite lucky ,now i got it feel priveledged to have had the experience, and certainly will be keeping it for some time , tho i have a bid at the moment on a light salvage 07 DB9 only 2984 miles , so watch this space and could be the lucky owner of two stallions.
Must say tho that the masser certainly looks better dressed in gs clothes
