Hi troesma, i first bought my masser at a salvage yard on a whim , went to buy another mazda rx8 for my gal coz she liked mine so much, its chipped and stuff
good fun car, anyway bidding went crazy and we lost it ,so there i was with a whole wodge of cash in me pocket and this sad looking masser the next lot, i could swear it was calling me to take a look at her , so over i stroll and the italian mistress just reached out and grabbed me , next i knew was the auctioneer was waving at me asking for my bid number i,d bought a masser for £6200.00 , i gulped a bit and what the ....... duly handed over my wodge.
Then then fun started , went home got all excited got staright on the net and searched for parts , having already arranged the delivery in four days time . Scarce or what , or pay an arm and a leg at the stealers , joined the uk forum and a whole host of info came forth, soon parts were being sourced a lil at a time , then in the october found eurospares two massers coming in a 4200 same as mine with a front ender ( not many bits left ) and a red Gransport ex flood damage had all i ever needed ( was a god after all ) bought all my bits wings bonnet bumpers side skirts steering wheel and headlights didnt originally intend to put GS bits on but made sense .
Anyway before this the car arrived at 6.30 in the morning on the back of 7 space car transporter it was right on the very top and i was his first drop ,
Dick head of a driver forgot to strap the bonnet back down when it was loaded and it had flipped on the motor way and smashed the screen and bonnet, i was gutted, upshot was the salvage company reimbursed me £2350.00 so the car owed me at this stage around £4000.00 so now with buying all the bits and the complete respray owes me around £12500.00
Looks litterally brand new only done 19000 miles still has warranty payed for by the previous owner and has all the extras so i feel quite lucky ,now i got it feel priveledged to have had the experience, and certainly will be keeping it for some time , tho i have a bid at the moment on a light salvage 07 DB9 only 2984 miles , so watch this space and could be the lucky owner of two stallions.
Must say tho that the masser certainly looks better dressed in gs clothes
Regards loz
