I sent an email to the local dealer here in Greece (Trident cars LTD) with a personal configuration of a Gran Turismo in Bianco Fuji colour and full red leather interior.
As a bonous to myself (hahahahaha) i added a few extras.
So i asked the price for such a car.
Answer......
Starting price 159000€ (218000$)
Final price includind all extras and taxes 195000€ (266000$)
Isn't this a robbery or not???

For that money, I go for a relatively-new 430 or a Gallardo. Cannot be right IMHO.

that's pretty close to HK prices - 1.53 mil - roughly 200k...

maybe this will be a good indication of what's to come...

btw i bet the prices for a relatively new 430 or gallardo will be way over that in Greece...

FYI a new 430 in HK is 2.98 mil - which is around 382k and you will need to wait in line.

MSRP in the US through Masserati of Cincy, is $110,000. This loaded with all the options. If you add special paint, 20" wheels, upgrade sound system, it can get to $120-$130K.

....and will probably keep the $30K salvaged Maserati seeking riff-raff from trolling this forum too

Heard a base price of approx. $103K and about $110K-$115K with typical options.

QP prices start from $102k and GS from $100k
A well equiped QP auto costs around $125k
and a GS $120k

$8200 for 5kg of paint....
surely they provide a female blonde painter to "cover your scratches" for as long as you own the car. Cannot be explained differently!

Well... in the UK (taxman paradise) and at a 2:1 exchange rate, a relatively well spec'ed 06 model 430 with about 6K miles on the clock would trade for 260-280K bucks (upper limit for spyders). In the 3K mile regions it could hit 310K, again for spyders. Gallardo-wise, I have seen 07 spyder models with very low mileage in the 300K region, but if you go for 05 variants with 12-15K on the clock you are looking at 160-180K, going up to 220-240 for below 10K examples. Again, very well spec'ed examples.

So it seems that against 270K they fare quite well. Again, dunno about the Greek market but I'm taking the UK, which is a relatively expensive EU market in the motor trade.

Guess dealers are just asking for high premiums for the privilege...

i don't think globally the price of the GT is 1.6x that of an QP.
something is wrong.

the 8C MSRP is 159,300 Euros.

Here in Greece we have the most unfair taxing policy of all EU countries
On new vehicles The total tax may overcome the 100% of the CIF price of a new car and 50% of the CIF price on a used imported one.
I paid for my '04 4200CC €50000 to buy it in Germany, and €24500 import tax when i imported it here.
Total: €74500.
it is really shame that any other EU citizen will pay only €50000 and buy the car and i need €74500 for the same car:mad:

sorry to hear, but that's part of what you have to pay for living in a particular country.

sure you are in EU, but if you check other places (HK, TW, AU, SGP) you will be surprised how much 'taxes' they are paying.

my point is, how can Maserati (Greece) price the GT at 1.6x the MSRP of a QP???

Maserati in India

The import taxes in some of the countries are crazy.
Maserati launched their car in India early last year and the initial price of a QP was $250K USD, a fully equipped was touching $300K
