Hey...

Just a general car question... not necessarily Mas based.

When I'm driving my other car, when I hit the brakes... the steering wheel sometimes "shakes."

The only think I can think of is that one break pad is worn more than the other?

Or is it an alignment issue?

warped rotor...

You have a warped rotor... That causes the shimmy...

if it's not aligned properly it will pull one direction or the other, either left or right and if you take your hand off the wheel on a good straight, smooth section of highway, it will start to drift to the left or right.

Agreed, most likely a warped rotor. You can try to turn them, it just depends on how bad they are. I would suggest replacing them.

It's a Lexus SC430.

Anyone want to just give me a ballpark what that will cost?

You can probably buy new rotors for the same cost as turning them for a Lexus!

Unless the pads are newer I would do rotors and pads at the same time. A set of OEM equiv pads and rotors are probably $150 an axle.

If you have a shop do the work then add in some margin on the parts and a couple of hours labour.

OT: good thing you are not driving a GT-R.
they want you to REPLACE all 4 brake pads AND rotors for a brake job.

The harder pads wear the rotors faster, but you should be able to at least turn them once.
