My 2002 CambriCorsa convertible drives fine till the gearbox indication comes on then if you put it in neutral you cannot reverse or go into drive gears. Unplug the battery for 20 seconds then its fine. Then the gearbox indication comes back on and repeat the process. Pump sounds good and clutch was replaced at 15,000 car has 35,000 - In thinking clutch fluid is causing it. It happens on the highway or in regular traffic. Whats everyones thoughts?

Thanks Jason - I had it in the shop at Maserati in St Louis, MO and they found no issues and said it was a loose connection on the battery and fixed it. I drove it home and did the same exact thing. I guess I need to run it back. They said there were no faults. Im guessing they erased them and never came back for them. They test drove it three times with no issues. This was my only guess.

I had that, it was a failing brake switch, wouldn't go into gear until battery was unplugged and reconnected. The brake lights still worked though.... It's a 4 pin setup and two pins go to the F1 system but like Jason said, let the dealership figure it out. A brake switch from Ferrari will fit around $35 also so it may be a cheap fix....

That would set a fault...So I love the idea, but you'll often go down the wrong path if you don't read the faults first...What fixed one car isn't gonna necessarily fix yours so keep that in mind..Jason

Agreed, mine didn't throw an f1 light but I did find it when scanning on my launch x431.... Dealer should be able to resolve as you said. Thanks Jason
