Since I got the car a few months ago I've been getting the parking sensor failure message. I had done the listen/feel test, and verified seven worked, with the passenger side middle sensor not working. Once I got my scanner and I confirmed it was also reporting a single bad sensor in the front. Ordered up a pack of replacement sensors and replaced the one that wasn't working tonight.
Parking sensor failure light has gone off, but now all I get is a constant scream from the front parking warning. No codes in the scanner, and live data does not give per sensor readings. As the PO installed a Tesla style radio it seems I don't get the displays I would sensor is firing. I replaced the driver side middle sensor as well just in case it was the one causing the new problem. But that didn't fix it. I can't get the two outer sensors out at this time without removing the bumper.
I tried googling this issue and didn't come up with much of anything. Has anyone had a bad parking sensor cause a constant obstacle warning non-stop?
Of note, with the bad sensor that was causing the parking failure message the rear sensors also did not work. With the bad sensor replaced the rear sensors do seem to be working correctly. But the only way to stop the constant screaming from the front is to remove one of the sensors causing the system to go back into a failure mode.
