I had the same problem with the 'E' showing on the dash -Gransport 2006 -brought it into the dealership - they changed the A/C controls as they said it was faulty - only took them less than 1 hour - this fixed the problem.
Although after they had done this I have now a squeak around the central dashboard which is rather annoying!
seems that they have not installed the radio correctly after they removed it to fit the new A/C and it is making a rattle when going over bumps.
Dont you just love Maserati and there build quality ..not!!
