Hey, y'all! James, here! I am in the Temecula valley area of Southern California, just north of San Diego county. I've been lurking on this board since 2015 under another account name, but this is my first post. I have owned my 2012 GranTurismo S for a couple of years now and besides the A/C compressor crapping out on me...it's been a few thousand miles and 20 drama free months of ownership.

BUT THEN...I was gone for about 3 months and when I got back, my rear tire was low. NP, but I noticed that a whole bunch of other lights were on as well. I put air in the tire, drove it a day, everything was great. The next day I was driving it again to have it checked at the tire shop as it lost a bit of pressure over night and the tires are only about 1K miles old. On the way there the car throws a bunch of codes and goes into a limp home mode about a mile from my home. I get the ACR light, the traction, light, etc. I read on here that perhaps the battery was old, so I put a new battery the next day and the same thing happened again...about a mile down the road. And I'm now smelling a rich fuel smell.

What should I be looking for? Am I missing something? BTW- While I was gone my wife's best friend and a lady who knows cars (she was a truck driver in her younger adult years!) was checking our mail and also fired up the cars and let them run for about 10-15 minutes once a week or so.

And for those in Southern California, should I have it towed to F&M, Raging Bull or Mark Douglas? I have a brief history with Raging Bull as I had RB do a PPI for a car I ended up NOT buying a few years back because of their inspection, but they seem more centered on Lambos than Maseratis or Ferraris. Any input on the best and most reasonable shop is greatly appreciated? (I'm not necessarily looking for the cheapest shop, but one that is fair and really knows these cars and will save me time and grief on guess work.)

Thanks!

~James

I figured out the issue thanks to help from Jeff @ Formula Dynamics. It was a simple electrical issue. Jeff pointed me in the right direction over the phone and I got it sorted. And as for where I will be taking my car, I will be taking my car for service to Dan and Brian at Exotic Specialty Services in Huntington Beach. They service my McLaren and they used to be the Ferrari and McLaren service managers at the Newport dealership (or was it Beverly Hillls?). They are honest, very fair pricing and they know these cars. Seen a few in their shop during my last two visits for maintenance on my 570. For some reason I know them as McLaren guys and forgot to even consider them for the Mas. Both problem solved/answered.

Congrats...over here in southern North Carolina so nothing to offer re: reputable shops in SoCal. Glad it's all sorted! Thanks for closing the loop.
