I totaled my wife's Boxster: Broke the frame at the forward suspension when the nose hit the pavement going through a deep gutter at an intersection in Palm Springs at about 20 mph.

So I was looking for a more comfortable car for driving here in Los Angeles. I first looked at S class and 7 series cars, but found they tended to have many little things wrong, and each little thing is crazy expensive to fix. Rusnak Porsche had given me a Maserati loaner when servicing the Porsche, and we did enjoy that car. I looked at a few Maseratis, when Rusnak took this QP in on trade on a new GranTurismo. The car was fully inspected and detailed, and was in perfect, flawless condition.

The car is an S, with the 4.7 engine with red valve covers.

Some details: Its a one owner car. The original owner is an airline pilot.

All service at Maserati dealership since new, twice a year, every six months, a thousand miles between each service.

Only thing to ever have gone wrong was the A/C compressor, which was replaced with new unit when I bought the car: it was the only flaw the full inspection uncovered, and no other flaws have occurred. Everything works.

Really a lot of fun in the mountain roads around Los Angeles, and yet very nice cruising down our rather thrashed roads and freeways here. Los Angeles has by far the biggest ports in the USA, more than twice as large as the second largest (NY): that is a LOT of truck traffic, carrying more than 25% of all imports into this nation. So the sport mode works great in the mountains, and the Cadillac mode floats just right on the freeways.
