So, yesterday I come out of the mall, and from like 400 feet away, while walking up to my car, I realize "something isnt right". But I can't place it.

As I walk closer, I realized whats wrong.

Some asshole had taken a screwdriver and pryed off my "Maserati" script on the back of the car, leaving a few "primer deep" scratches.

Called the dealership, costs 300 bucks to replace it (not counting the primer scratches)

Damn it.

Arrrgghhh...

Just remember your Maserati can be fixed!!! Living well is the best revenge and just knowing the scum that did this to your car will never own one, is good enough. Losers always try to pull winners down...

That sucks! well but as the good old chinese saying goes... "little losses are there because they adverted the bigger ones".

so i hope this loss you have now has prevented in some ways a bigger one happening...

Im sorry to hear about that. Similar situation happened to me about 3 years ago. I was in manhattan beach, parked at a small parking structure on rosecrans & highland. When I returned to the car, i discovered, at the next stop, that someone had removed my tritan from the grill: $1,400.00 to replace. I filed a police report because he left a complete handprint on the hood.

Let me tell you this: That was the best thing that could have happened to me. Made me realize I'm driving a work of art. I completely changed my parking habits. I never pull the car into a corner spot where someone can hide and do this again. Still wary of door and bumper dings at parking spots, but the car is in plain view always or where there is an attendant. I pay extra to self park right in front anywhere I can. I generally don't park in lonely structures and never park so someone can hide in front or behind the car, usually back in now at structures. Usually try and park near the elevators or escalators.

What mall were you at when this happened? I suspect beverly center?

Yup, Beverly Center.

Douche bag corp guys didnt even care... Just gave me the "It isnt our responsibility" Like the reason I told them was because I wanted 400 bucks or whatever from them.

A nice "Sorry" would have sufficed.
