Buzz...

You need the GT or a new Alfa 8C..... Or a QP... Or the new Ferrari 2+2... I have honestly even looked at the new BMW M3 with the V8, but it's not for me... I won't give up my Maserati, but am thinking I need a QP for family drives...

I thought you made it clear that you were down on the Gran Turismo and Gran Turismo S........ com'en around ?
:D LOL! I feel a little less guilty by keeping my coupe as a weekend car. The GT just seems like the best NEW daily driver option. The GTS supplies the missing HP..... Anyway, all said I'm a true Maserati fan. And more important, a true fan of other Maserati owners!

I'll own the '05 coupe CC outright soon. I AM keeping it (my 15 year old daughter needs something to drive to school.... NOT!)... But what next?

Probably this ;) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=43-5s5Ff2jY

OK, fine. I've come to the dark side.
Yep, been toying with the idea too (sacrilege..!) but would hold my breath to see what Ferrari has on wrappers... :D

Glad I did not go for the 612; prices are sinking like a stone (about 20K GBP in, what, 6 months I reckon...)

So, spit it out, have you made the downpayment yet..? :D

What color will you choose? Have you started thinking about the options yet?

If you haven't test drove a GT - do so. Within 50 feet, the car sold me. The view over the hood under motion is fantastic. It is so much more "put-together" than even the early QPs. Whether good or bad,(I consider it good) it has a germanic feel of solidity and then you give it the pedal. Pure Maserati/Ferrari/Italian DNA.

Now if they could only add- a bit more power, a true sequential tranny, and a topless model, I'd be on it.

Oh Frak, they have. ...running into the other room, "Honey, you know that conversation we had about getting a new set of boobs, well,...."

I too was thinking in terms of Alfa 8C but then you already have something very much along same lines and arguably prettier - the Maserati.. Vanquish S? No German cars for me. All of a sudden, GT-S looks like a pretty great choice - stunning, 440hp and can take kids to school in comfort!

Aston is smallish

I test drove the Aston (vantage) before buying the Gran Turismo... great engine, but the drivers compartment is small, the car is low to the ground, hard to get in and out of .. I guess I am an old foggie at 51 , I am 6 ft and 220 lbs and it was a bit tight for my fat azz..... I felt more comfy in the GT..

It was also my impression that Aston just wanted to get their badge on a $100k ish car to compete in that segment of the market, thus they created a "junior aston martin"

just my 2 cents..
