Hello all,

www.evo.co.uk

The current December EVO issue has a yellow GranSport front and center on its cover. Its for the their annual Car of the Year issue. While its on the book shelves in Europe, its not yet available here in the States. Anytime they show the car front and center on the cover, it never wins, so heres to wishful thinking.

Anyway, there is a short video clip of the GranSport drifting around a turn in the video gallery of the website. Once on that page, select at the right EVO car of the year and there you'll see it along with its competition. It appears the driver is trying to flick the steering wheel into the turn, rally style. As an owner of a GranSport and as much as I love it, I assume the writers are not going to name an 8 year old car the victor over the brand new 911, but who knows, maybe some of you have seen the Dec. issue already and know who the winner is and where the GranSport placed among the 15 cars.

Check out the video. I hope that will be me on the track with mine when it starts to warm up here in Ohio say in April some time.

check out the Enzo

Evo isn't the most credible car mag in the UK, IMHO - they tend to go crazy over the Subaru Impreza/Mitsubishi Evo genre and pay too much reverence to some marques whilst beating up on others.

You have to check out the Enzo in the video on their web site - Ferrari Supercar test... the noise of it starting up curdles the blood.

And on another note with Evo, imagine my surprise when I bought my Spyder GT ex-dealer-demonstrator and heard from someone else about Evo doing a review of the Spyder GT... only to discover that it was MY CAR they had reviewed!

Cool - you're not going to get better pictures of your car.
True... I mailed the art editor and they were good enough to dig out & email me some high-res non-watermarked versions of a few of those pics for me... nice...

Evo are also pretty biased towards the fast hatchbacks too... maybe it's because that's what they drive privately so feel more at home... dunno but the mini cooper s beating the GranSport in the ECOTY I find strange.
Agree. The reverence to the Lotus Elise is also a trademark. The Elise is a nice-handling car but could always have used a lot more power.

Those exhaust notes are great...
Yeah, also check out Scuderia Systems site for Tubistyle vids - they have a new one of an Enzo with Tubi being revved and it sounds amazing.
