Just after picking my '05 GS (8,000 mi.) up from having a stereo upgrade, the symbol for the shock system not working came on and the speedo quit working (it hovers around 20 mph, engine running or not, and never gets above 30 mph). The car does fine otherwise.

Does anyone have any idea what would cause this?

It's possible that the stereo shop jiggled a rear shock wire loose or that they did some other harm. They've worked on several Maseratis and are the installer used by a local Mas dealer, and I think they're pretty good.

I checked the fuses in the passenger footwell and all were okay. I didn't check other fuses and the owner's manual showed no fuse for the instruments.

I turned off the battery switch for a few minutes, observing the appropriate window and restart cautions. No help.

Next stop at the dealer, I guess, but I'm hopeful that someone can prevent that trip.
