This forum has lost one of it's most valued and respected contributors and an absolutely great guy.
I'm terribly sorry to announce that Eddie Rodriguez died this past weekend in a single car accident on the 91 Freeway.
I have no other details at the moment.
Those of us in Southern California who relied on his expertise and knowledge will greatly miss him.
He was a great friend to all.

This is a real tragedy for the community. He was really a great resource to everyone and a good guy to boot.

Eddie Rodriguez died in a car accident this weekend

I just found out that Eddie Rodriguez died in a car accident this weekend. Most of us from SoCal know him well. My condolences go to his family and friends. He was a great guy for those who knew him.

I met him on Thursday (11/14/13) to get my car inspected. I took my car into the dealership today to get the analog clock replaced. There I was told Eddie passed away but I couldnt believe it. So I called to verify this and it was true.

Here are the details that I found out:
- Died in a car accident Saturday night/Sunday morning at 2AM (11/17/13).
- He was alone in the car.
- One car accident.
- Accident happened 1.5 miles from his work on the SR-91 in Anaheim.
- He hit the guard rail and was ejected from the car.
- He died on the spot.
- He was 28.
- He left behind a wife and 4 kids (and I think 1 adopted kid, but I am not sure).

So sad. May he rest in peace.

This is certainly terrible news, the Italian Car community has lost one of it's best technicians and friends this last weekend. Our most sincere thoughts and wishes go out to Eddies Family and also to the folks at Alfa Performance Connection, Eddies workplace, which has also well served the Italian car community for a very long time.

Apparently, Eddie wasn't wearing a seatbelt and for some reason veered off the highway in the early am and was ejected from the vehicle upon impact with a guardrail... very sad indeed. He was always looking out for his customers and he was a very good, honest man with a bright future ahead of him.

I just saw Eddie two weeks ago after he did my oil change. We were sitting around talking about cars and doing that Vegas trip we never got around to. He was also showing me his new car, a 280z with the skyline engine. It was a fixer upper but one badass ride. I even poked fun at him about the purple sport racing seats in the car. They looked like large children's car seats and I could understand why he wasn't wearing seat belts...

My condolences go out to his family. This was a very unexpected tragedy and a great loss for all of us who knew him.

RIP Eddie

You were definitely a class act and your honesty and integrity made you an awesome resource for us Italian car owners. I will always remember the crazy ride we took in my NSx and how you were mad at me for selling it. God has a habit of taking very good people too soon from us. My sincere condolences to your family.

I had an apt this morning with Eddie at ALFA PERFORMANCE, walked in and was told he passed over the weekend...STUNNED.....Eddie was the guy who 100% returned every call and text regardless of how stupid the question! My condolences to his family and friends!! R.I.P. EDDIE. You will be missed!!

What a loss. My sincere condolences go out to his family.

I had no idea that he was so young. He'd established a great reputation in a short amount of time. This is sad news.

Eddie

I just called Alpha Performance to speak with Eddie and Stewart gave me the bad news about Eddie's passing. I am shocked. Eddie was such a nice guy that went out of his way to help people. I still cant believe he is gone. Rest In Peace Eddie.
